Pancake Mania!
Wednesday 25th February 2009So yesterday was Shrove Tuesday, and we decided to react to the news in the only way possible.. make a ton of pancake mix and get cooking!
Alex and Jamie were the guys responsible for bringing in the goods to make it all happen, their affection for the day was truly gratifying as after 24 eggs, 2 bags of flour and a yard of milk later the office was treated to an eggy failure that looked more like a wet flannel than a pro pancake. Luckily our key ingredient, Masterchef Rob quickly saved the day to create a couple of masterpieces before the mix run out.. thanks guys.

Electrolux appoints Head
Monday 2nd February 2009
We’re cracking open the cava over at Percy Street today to the delightful news that we’ve been appointed by Electrolux to help the company rethink its consumer website strategy and create a new site for the whole of Europe.
Online has become a critical part of Electrolux’s thinking for building its brands and driving sales. We’re particularly excited by the fact that Electrolux now see the web as their main channel for building relationships with consumers and most of all we can’t wait to get started.

The New Head Website
Friday 9th January 2009
We’re very happy to announce that after 4 years, 13 days & 46 minutes of “old site” we now have a “brand new site” up and running for public perusal.
Why the new website?
• So you can find out what we do, and how we do it.
• To show you what work we’ve done in the past, who we’ve done it for and what makes it so frighteningly good.
• To give you a super special inside peek of what life’s like at Head.
• To keep you up to speed with what’s going on at Head. You can find us on Twitter, Flickr, Last.fm and Vimeo.
• To formally introduce you to our R&D department, Head Labs.
• And in the spirit of pet euthanasia metaphors, we just thought it was about time to take the old site out for a long drive in the country and say goodbye.
Updates and additional features are scheduled to be slyly integrated in the coming months so if you spot anything amiss please don’t get too upset. We have top people working on it.
So have a look around. We hope you like our “brand new site” as much as we do.
We’d love to hear your feedback so feel free to flex those typing fingers and leave some inspired comments.
Ramsey speaks at JBoye 08, Denmark
Monday 5th January 2009
Back in November our Ramsey flew over to Aarhus, Denmark, home to Hans Christian Andersen, Fried Meatballs & The Little Mermaid to speak at the jBoye 2008 Conference.
The event was billed as an ‘Open minded conference with a campus like atmosphere for IT professionals’ hosted at the stunning Aarhus Museum of Art.
Ramsey’s topic for discussion: ‘Challenging projects’
One project that seemed to fit the bill pretty well was our work for Promise Communities, which involved multiple agencies, an overseas build, a client who needed to find out how to translate their idea into a digital reality combined with a concept which had never been done before.
There were a lot of elements that could have gone wrong and different pulls from many people made it challenging stuff. But with a clear vision and a well scoped plan as our blueprint for the build, the project was delivered on time, on budget and has been a great success.
All of us were involved in the process and it gives us a lot of pride when we see it being nominated for Innovation award’s.
Overall jBoye 08 was one of the highlights of our speaking engagements for 2008. Ramsey’s personal highlights included meeting his lovely fellow speakers, Tony Wood (VisionWT), Jens Hofman Hansen (Creuna), Jesper Munkholm (Valtech) and Josh Mortensen (LoveFilm).
A big thanks goes out to all the people behind jBoye and everyone who was entertained by what Ramsey had to say.
