A feast of updates…
Thursday 30th July 2009It’s all been very exciting here at Head recently, the whole team have been locked up working hard on lots of great new projects we just can’t wait to share with you, including a new addition to Head Labs but we’ll save news on those for another time.

All hell broke loose last week as Percy Street transformed itself into a mini-jungle as one of the tree’s took a wee tumble and ended up face-down between two cars. An enormous shout goes out to the tree surgeons of our lovely borough who were round in a jiffy to clean up all the mess.

There’s also been a few new additions to the office, starting with our new Web Trend Map from the very intelligent people at iA. “The Web Trend Map plots the Internet’s leading names and domains onto the Tokyo Metro map. Domains and personalities are carefully selected through dialogue with map enthusiasts, and every domain is evaluated based on traffic, revenue, and character.”
Some more photos of this and last years poster can be found over on our Flickr.

And secondly our new four legged friend Lily has joined the team. Unfortunately Lily be working from home for the meantime leaving duster to munch on all of the office grub but stay tuned for more news on the office animal collective soon.

Pancake Mania!
Wednesday 25th February 2009So yesterday was Shrove Tuesday, and we decided to react to the news in the only way possible.. make a ton of pancake mix and get cooking!
Alex and Jamie were the guys responsible for bringing in the goods to make it all happen, their affection for the day was truly gratifying as after 24 eggs, 2 bags of flour and a yard of milk later the office was treated to an eggy failure that looked more like a wet flannel than a pro pancake. Luckily our key ingredient, Masterchef Rob quickly saved the day to create a couple of masterpieces before the mix run out.. thanks guys.
Check out the rest of the disaster over at our flickr.
The New Head Website
Friday 9th January 2009
We’re very happy to announce that after 4 years, 13 days & 46 minutes of “old site” we now have a “brand new site” up and running for public perusal.
Why the new website?
• So you can find out what we do, and how we do it.
• To show you what work we’ve done in the past, who we’ve done it for and what makes it so frighteningly good.
• To give you a super special inside peek of what life’s like at Head.
• To keep you up to speed with what’s going on at Head. You can find us on Twitter, Flickr, Last.fm and Vimeo.
• To formally introduce you to our R&D department, Head Labs.
• And in the spirit of pet euthanasia metaphors, we just thought it was about time to take the old site out for a long drive in the country and say goodbye.
Updates and additional features are scheduled to be slyly integrated in the coming months so if you spot anything amiss please don’t get too upset. We have top people working on it.
So have a look around. We hope you like our “brand new site” as much as we do.
We’d love to hear your feedback so feel free to flex those typing fingers and leave some inspired comments.
Christmas is here
Friday 12th December 2008Christmas has well and truly landed here at Percy Street, our Christmas tree is up and running and some very lucky sausages are about to receive some beautiful presents packaged carefully by Head’s very own “extraordinary upper Christmas Management team”.
Our inspired elves managed to buy Topshop out of pick’n'mix and clear the shelves of Soho’s natty gift stores for our beautiful hand made stockings to devour. The now famous Head Christmas stockings, designed & produced by the marvelous Kate, are now out on there way to various destinations across the globe, we hope you love them as much as we do.
You can see more merry stocking goodness over at our Christmas Flickr set
Thanks to Unusual Gifts for the great gift ideas!
Merry Christmas Everyone!
Head hits Riga!
Friday 12th December 2008Team bonding went into overdrive last weekend at Head, as we all missed our usual Friday tipple for an expedition to the depth’s of Eastern Europa. With our hangover’s at the ready, we hit the hotel spa, got our hot mud bath on and prepared ourselves for a latvic medieval joyride of drink, food, AK 47’s and a little bit of sightseeing.
Many thanks goes out to the the indigenous Baltic people of Latvia for being such beautiful hosts and last but defiantly not least a big congratulations goes out to the marksmen of the weekend, Will who won a little medal of honor for keeping his gun barrel on target all weekend!
Some of the least explicit photos we managed to capture are over at our – Flickr page
Until next time Latvia, Visu labu!
