Head London

Givealovenote.com launches today

Thursday 1st February 2007

bhf-howitworks

It’s February 1st today and that can mean only 2 things – Glen the hedgehog has awakened from hibernation to the horrors of a hairless body and the British Heart Foundation’s givealovenote.com campaign has launched.

There’s an eerie calm at Head now that the love note site, which we made, is out there and ready for public consumption. It’s fun, it’s creamy, it’s something you can’t afford to miss! And like those Easter Cream Eggs it’s not going to be around long – only until February 15th so get off your ass and go give someone the gift of love. It’s for a good cause.

Webcameron BETA launches

Saturday 30th September 2006

We’ve been so busy we forgot to mention that we’ve been working for the Conservatives on a top secret project, Webcameron. We’ve just launched a beta of the site in time for the Conservative conference on the 1st October.

The site combines some major aspects of blogs, video-sharing sites such as YouTube , photo-sharing sites such as Flickr , and other social networking sites to provide a collaborative space for political discussion and the presentation of ideas. Members of the public can register and post blog content immediately. They can also contribute to and share content from a media library consisting of video, photos and audio. The media library allows users to display and comment on other peoples’ media contributions from within their own blog posts.

Besides featuring David Cameron’s personal blog, the site will also display contributions from a selected list of “special guest bloggers”, as well as members of the public.

We’ll be working on the site over the coming months and releasing lots of cool new features. Although we haven’t yet built them, we will be working on a series of interactive widgets that will allow users to embed content from the Webcameron site in their own blogs. These will include a tag cloud that reflects the current state of tags on the Webcameron site.

Enjoy www.webcameron.org.uk

btw. Big thanks to famfamfam for the use of his icons and 1pixelout for the use of his mp3 player on the webcameron site.

Head launches luxury brands site

Wednesday 20th September 2006

Head has launched a luxury brands site for international law firm Withers LLP to highlight its expertise and credentials throughout the luxury/premium brands sectors.  Rather than taking a conventional approach to a law firm brief, Head’s chosen design speaks the language of the market Withers is addressing. The site’s design evokes the feeling of luxury, rather than the typical po-faced presentational style that might be expected from a major law firm, but Withers represents a refreshingly differentiated brand as a law firm – progressive, engaging and accessible in its style of communications.  Head’s design centres on the use of a catwalk to showcase The firm’s impressive client list and areas of expertise.

England All Stars launch

Wednesday 7th June 2006

During a moment of insanity we decided to conceive and undertake our own World Cup initiative. The result – www.englandallstars.com – an alternative take on Englands progress during the World Cup. The site combines the saucy adventures of a couple of puppets, interviews from Germany and stop frame animation highlights of all the England matches. Created and produced in-house, everyone at Head got to do their thing.
